From a talent show to a prison cell: a beatboxer behind bars
Once Australia has talent Genesis finalist Cerezo faces decades in prison, after allegedly sexually abusing a teenage girl over a three-year period.
Mr Cerezo was arrested at this Hurstville home on Tuesday morning and taken to Kogarah Police Station and charged with 31 offences. He was denied bail to appear in Central Local Court on Thursday on a series of allegations, including three counts of using a child over 14 to make child pornography , one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 16 and four counts of having sexual intercourse. sex with a 15 year old girl.
He also faces charges of indecent assault on a person under the age of 16, sexual touching of another person without consent and sexual intercourse without consent.
“Police will allege in court that the man repeatedly sexually abused the girl during photo shoots across Sydney between January 2018 and February 2020, when the girl was between 13 and 16 years old,” said NSW Police said in a statement on Wednesday.
Police also seized cell phones, computers, hard drives, photographic equipment, clothing, a gel gun, an extendable baton, a small samurai-style sword and a crystalline substance from his home.
Investigations are continuing.
Mr. Cerezo appeared on the 2012 Australia has talent grand finale and competed as a beatboxer. He was crowned Australian Beatbox Champion in 2011.
