New Egyptian talent show El-Dome kicks off with celebrity participation – Entertainment – Arts & Culture
Under the leadership of the ministries of culture and sports, 200 participants were selected from 27 governorates to compete in three categories: singing, acting and television presentation.
Through three stages of competition, participants will show their talents to the juries and the crowd. Two winners from each category will have the opportunity to participate in the various UMS productions that have dominated the country in recent years.
During 12 weekly episodes, El-Dom’s juries, made up of renowned artists from a variety of disciplines, will judge the talents of entrants selected from over 200,000 entries.
The opening episode aired last weekend, featuring performances by renowned singers Sherine Abdel-Wahab, Afaf Rady accompanied by her daughter Mai Kamal and others. The performance was followed by many major media who collaborated with UMS, and led by Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy and Minister of Culture Ines Abdel-Dayem, who played her flute under great applause.
Many artists and media personalities, like Yousra, Nagwa Ibrahim, Karim Abdel-Aziz, Lamis El-Hadidi, Hamid El-Shaeri, Elham Shahin, Donia Samir Ghanem, Tamer Hosni and many others have praised the concept of the show, expecting the discovery of influential talents over the course of the episodes.
